This hypertext list of 235 websites can save you time surfing the internet for sites that describe themselves as credible sources of information but offer little research-based evidence about sustainability and sustainable eating. The list is broken down into 19 topic areas that include: sustainable use of natural resources; biodiversity; sustainable agriculture; sustainable seafood; food contaminants; genetically engineered foods; organic foods; and life cycle assessment. The list is limited to English language sites and excludes sites exclusively focused on “advocacy.” While some sites still fit under this broad umbrella term (“advocacy”), they have been included whenever they provide a substantial amount of research-based information. This “link library” is also included in my upcoming book, Sustainability and Your Diet (Food With The World In Mind™ series).
